About Magda
My name is Magda, a henna artist and the founder of Gipsy Henna BCN.
Art has always been part of my life. When I discovered the world of henna, I felt an immediate connection. For me, henna is much more than beautiful designs on the skin. It is a way to celebrate culture, tell stories and honour tradition.
As a proud Romani woman, this art holds a very special meaning for me. The Romani people have their origins in India, the birthplace of mehndi, which makes my connection to henna deeply personal and rooted in my own cultural heritage.
I founded Gipsy Henna BCN in 2018 to share this passion through authentic, elegant and meaningful henna artistry. I am professionally trained and certified by Maitri’s Mehndi and Ash Kumar in London, specialising in the traditional art of bridal mehndi.
My approach
I work exclusively with 100% natural henna, which I handcraft a few days before each appointment to ensure maximum freshness, safety and a rich, long lasting stain.
Every bridal design is fully customised to reflect the bride’s own style. Once we have talked through your ideas and inspiration, I create a personalised design sketch so you can picture the final composition before your special day. My goal is refined, meaningful, high quality henna art: a design that tells your story.
